1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using The Jesus Question (the "App"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App, or use it with the permission of a parent or guardian. By using it, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. The App

The Jesus Question provides written answers to questions about Jesus, the Bible, and the Christian faith, together with guided reading journeys, for personal, educational, and spiritual-growth purposes. The App is free to download and use. There are no accounts, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases.

The answers present the Christian faith — including its Pentecostal convictions — as fairly and honestly as we can, including where Christians themselves disagree. They are teaching content, offered in good faith; they are not the official doctrine of any single church or denomination.

4. License & Acceptable Use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the App or its content as your own product.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access, disrupt, or compromise the App's security.

  • Use the App for unlawful purposes.

You may share individual answers with others using the App's share feature, for personal, non-commercial purposes, with attribution to The Jesus Question.

5. Intellectual Property

The App's original content, design, and branding (excluding Scripture text) are owned by Tears & Oil and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not use our trademarks without permission.

6. Spiritual & Wellness Disclaimer

The App provides devotional and educational content about the Christian faith. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice, and it is not a counseling service.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact a qualified professional or local emergency services right away. In the United States, you can call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) free, any time. The App also surfaces this number wherever crisis-related answers appear.

7. Third-Party Links & Services

Some answers link to outside sources, and the App can open your email app or browser at your request. Those websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tears & Oil shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App — which is nothing, because the App is free.

10. Termination

We may discontinue or change the App at any time. You may stop using the App and delete it at any time; everything the App stores lives on your device and is removed when you delete it.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date accordingly.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
